Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different This role combines clinical autonomy with strong team support. You will work across a growing market, performing varied respiratory procedures while partnering with a collaborative, training-focused branch team. Key highlights Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; open to 4x10 schedule. On-call every 3rd week. Travel: 30–45 minutes to first stop, up to 1 hour occasionally; telehealth used when possible. Salary range $26.75 – $33.64 per hour; mileage reimbursement $0.70/mile. On-Call transparency On-call rotation every 3rd week; flexibility needed for home visits and hospital support.

Requirements

Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active IL RT license
Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license
Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
Hold a current CPR Certification
Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice

Responsibilities

Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups
Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
Performs other duties as required
