About The Position

Description Location: Adena Greenfield Medical Center Greenfield Ohio Casual: As needed Shift: Variable Position Summary: Carries out physician orders according to protocols, best practices, and respiratory care policies. Accurate and timely completion of patient assessment involving the evaluation of cardiopulmonary function and treatment effectiveness, and patient/family education to contribute to the development and ongoing evaluation of a multidisciplinary plan of care. Accurate and timely documentation/recording and communication of patient assessment findings, treatment effectiveness and outcomes. Effective management and evaluation of critical/hazardous procedures in collaboration with other licensed health care professionals. Accurately performs diagnostic procedures and cardiac monitoring with recognition of arrhythmias. Accurately administers medications for the testing or treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment. Assists with new employee orientation and annual competency skills evaluations. Takes an active department leadership role in Quality Improvement Processes.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree with a concentration in Respiratory Therapy
  • Licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board and Registered by the (NBRC) National Board for Respiratory Care
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support and NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Completed Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation program completion required.

Nice To Haves

  • American Medical Association (AMA) approved associate degree program for Respiratory Therapy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care, emergency and diagnostic respiratory care procedures.
