If you’re passionate about pulmonary care and love working with seniors, we’d love to meet you! 😊 🌟 General Purpose The primary purpose of your job position is to perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities affecting the pulmonary system.

Requirements

Associate Degree from an accredited school required
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of practice
Current CPR/BLS certification
ACLS certification required
Knowledge of office machines and equipment
Ability to read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Ability to write reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Prolonged use of desktop or laptop computer
Regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, reading, and hearing
Frequent use of copier/scanner/fax, telephone, calculator

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in a healthcare field preferred
Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in acute and/or subacute setting preferred

Responsibilities

Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
Adhere to established policies and procedures of the facility.
Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.
Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care team members and document actual and/or potential diagnoses.
Plan outcomes of care for assigned patients.
Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and patient care outcome standards.
Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communication.
Report changes in patient respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor of Respiratory Care Services, primary nurse, and physician as needed and prior to leaving the facility.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with inter-department personnel.
Maintain strict confidentiality of resident protected health information (PHI) and report any suspected violations.
Assume accountability and responsibility for assigned duties.
