Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different This role offers flexibility between office and field work based on branch needs, a predictable weekday schedule, and a collaborative on-call rotation with a small RT team. It is a great opportunity for both new graduates and experienced RTs who enjoy hands-on patient care and education. Key highlights Work Arrangement: On-site; office vs. road time varies based on branch needs. Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Driving Distance: Up to 1 hour from the branch. Reimbursements: Mileage $0.70, parking, tolls. Salary range $34.50 – $35.25 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. On-Call transparency Rotates every 3rd week.

Requirements

Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active OK RT license.
Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license.
Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
Hold a current CPR Certification.
Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.

Responsibilities

Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups.
Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately.
Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs, Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.
Performs other duties as required.
