The CRT or RRT position is part of the Respiratory Department and is a contingent role. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Ohio Respiratory Therapy License required
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in critical situations
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform independent professional respiratory care, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures
  • Evaluate patient care, establish therapeutic objectives, and review outcomes
  • Provide care in critical and/or life-threatening patient situations
  • Administer emergency, life-sustaining procedures until physician oversight is available
  • Perform selected cardiology responsibilities, Breath Alcohol Testing, and other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to provide seamless patient care
  • Adhere to all departmental and hospital standards of practice
