Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) in Blair, NE, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our high-performing healthcare team. Work in multiple settings, including the Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, Med/Surg, and outpatient diagnostics. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Active Nebraska Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification within 6 months of hire OR Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 5+ years of acute care experience.
  • BLS required upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 60 days.
  • Acute care experience preferred, with the ability to adapt to various patient care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop personalized respiratory care plans.
  • Perform respiratory procedures, including bronchopulmonary drainage, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy.
  • Conduct cardiac and pulmonary diagnostic testing, such as EKGs, Holter monitors, pulmonary function tests, and cardiac stress testing.
  • Assist in C-section and vaginal deliveries, providing essential newborn respiratory support.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on at-home treatment programs and follow-up care.
  • Maintain top-quality respiratory equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring top patient care standards.
