Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) in Blair, NE, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our high-performing healthcare team. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Active Nebraska Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification within 6 months of hire OR Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 5+ years of acute care experience.
- BLS required upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 60 days.
- Acute care experience preferred, with the ability to adapt to various patient care settings.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop personalized respiratory care plans.
- Perform respiratory procedures, including bronchopulmonary drainage, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy.
- Conduct cardiac and pulmonary diagnostic testing, such as EKGs, Holter monitors, pulmonary function tests, and cardiac stress testing.
- Assist in C-section and vaginal deliveries, providing essential newborn respiratory support.
- Educate patients and caregivers on at-home treatment programs and follow-up care.
- Maintain top-quality respiratory equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring top patient care standards.
