Requirements
- Must possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner verification license for the state in which you practice (if applicable).
Responsibilities
- Follow the schedule and instructions provided by your supervisor according to established policies and procedures.
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
- Conduct focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members and document actual and/or potential diagnoses.
- Plan and implement outcomes of care for assigned patients.
- Perform interventions according to identified priorities and care plans.
- Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Promote good interpersonal communications and rapport with all departments within the facility.
- Report changes in the patient's respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor and relevant healthcare team members before leaving the facility.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, including protected health information, and report any violations promptly.
