About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist Supervisor assists the Director of Respiratory Care in overseeing the overall operation of respiratory area maximizing the resources of the department. The Supervisor performs all services as they may relate to patient/treatment with consideration for the age/condition of the patient. The Supervisor makes a significant contribution to the publics perception of the hospital. Demonstrates the appropriate attitude in the completion of his/her responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate certification.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State).
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in Respiratory.
  • NICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Respiratory Care in overseeing the overall operation of the respiratory department.
  • Maximize the resources of the respiratory department.
  • Perform all services related to patient treatment considering the age and condition of the patient.
  • Contribute to the public's perception of the hospital.
