About The Position

Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care. The position supervises daily staff activities for Cardiopulmonary services.

  • ACLS Certification_non ecard (ACLS AHA) - American Heart Association
  • ACLS Certification (ACLS RC) - Red Cross
  • ACLS Certification Grace (ACLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (TT LICENSE) - State of Florida
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida
  • Three (3) years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is preferred.
  • Department Specific Credentials- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
  • Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
  • Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
  • Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
  • Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
