Requirements

• Education - High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be actively enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient operations.
• Collects equipment from all the areas of the hospital and cleans and reassembles equipment according to proper procedure observing standard precautions.
• Performs pre-use checks on all ventilator types to ensure proper equipment function and preparation for use.
• May participate in Quality Improvement Processes for the department; relates how processes that are being tracked to enhanced care given at the bedside.
• Takes an active role in developing new ideas for process improvement and assists other personnel in data collection and interpretation.
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively.
• Provides designated direct and indirect patient care activities.
