About The Position

This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas and general care areas.

Requirements

• HS/GED Required.
• Must be licensed by the ASBRT and credentialed by the NBRC, Certified Respiratory Therapist minimum, Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred.
• Certification of PALS and ACLS is preferred for all applicants.
• PALS, ACLS, NRP are mandatory within one year.
• Certification of BLS is preferred for hiral processes and mandatory upon completion of orientation period.
• Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation and support of mechanical ventilation.
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of EKG, Bronchial Hygiene, Oxygen Therapy, Respiratory Diagnostic Procedures, and all levels of Mechanical Ventilation.
• Weekend and/or holiday rotation may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred.
• Certification of PALS and ACLS is preferred for all applicants.
• Additional experience relating to intubation and transport are preferred.
• Certification of BLS is preferred for hiral processes
