About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to evaluate, treat, and monitor respiratory conditions.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree required
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- Active Illinois License
- BLS / BCLS
- NRP-MHC
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Active state license required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments
- Deliver physician-ordered respiratory therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Participate in patient discharge planning and education
- Share knowledge with staff and students
- Accept reassignment to other units as needed
