About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Respiratory Therapist – RRT/CRT for our Respiratory Therapy Unit located within the Edgewood Hospital. The position is full-time, scheduled for 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7P to 7A. The Respiratory Therapist will administer safe and effective respiratory treatments and medical gas therapy consistent with current standards of practice to restore normal cardio-pulmonary function.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist as described by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current mandatory certification in the state to practice Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate degree in applied science or equivalent.
• Must maintain credential as described in the Continuing Competency of the NBRC.
• ACLS certification required post-hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Administers safe, effective respiratory treatments and medical gas therapy.
• Meets customer relations expectations and is accountable for behavior.
• Interacts with internal and external customers using AIDET methodology.
• Contributes to improved customer satisfaction outcomes.
• Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner.
• Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.
• Uses proper communication channels and maintains confidentiality of customer information.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in training programs.
• Stays up to date with Health System information.
• Works within and as a member of the Sleep Disorders Team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
