This is an hourly position. The expected pay for this position is $31.49 - $37.05/hour, with actual pay determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This position also includes a night shift differential of $4.00/hr and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr.

  • Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by the prescribing physician.
  • Administer medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory modalities.
  • Monitor levels of supplies and equipment for department and patient care areas.
  • Demonstrate competence in respiratory skills, problem solving, and critical thinking appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Associate’s degree and successful completion of respiratory therapy program from an accredited school.
  • Basic electronic medical record documentation skills.
  • BLS certification required, NRP certification after 6 months of hire.
  • Credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license and current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials if credentialed after July 1, 2002.
  • Proof of Application for appropriate state licensure before orientation to the department can begin.
  • Sign On Bonus Options: $10,000 for a 1-year work commitment, $20,000 for a 2-year work commitment.
  • Flexibility in using the Sign On Bonus for personal expenses such as bills, car purchases, or health insurance.
