Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
- Must be accredited by the NBRC as an RRT.
- Must hold a current, valid Wyoming License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and be in good standing with the Board for Respiratory Care.
- Must have current BLS certification within 60 days of hire and maintain throughout employment.
- Must have current ACLS certification or acquire certification within 6 months of hire. Must maintain certification throughout employment.
- Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally, in writing, and utilizing other department and facility technologies.
- Demonstrate effective listening skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
- Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
- Ability to learn new computer software programs.
- Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
- Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administers medicines and treatments and/or related procedures according to physician orders.
- Sets up and maintains ventilators and oxygen support systems.
- Performs cardiac testing, including Holter monitoring and stress testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
