About The Position
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. We proudly provide a vast array of services that help us keep our community safe and healthy. Respiratory Therapist Reg This is a PRN role. The pay rate is $37/hr. As our Respiratory Therapist, you will care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory problems. Every day you will provide diagnostic evaluations for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree from a respiratory care degree program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Texas (RCP)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP Certification Required (NRP within first 30 days of employment)
Responsibilities
- Administering therapies including, Hand held Nebulizer (HHN), HHN via metered dose inhaler (HHN/MDI), Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV), Chest Physical Therapy (CPT), Pentamidine therapy.
- Medication administration may be included during these therapy modalities.
- Administer medical gas therapies
- Performs physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing
