About The Position
Position Highlights: Respiratory Therapist, Pulmonary Rehab What you will need: License Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy required Certification: CPR (BLS) required Pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred Cardiac rehabilitation experience or willingness to cross-train preferred What you will do: Provide outpatient respiratory therapy services within the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing reassessments Develop individualized treatment and exercise plans based on patient condition and goals Assess exercise tolerance, determine appropriate exercise progression, and manage oxygen titration during activity Monitor physiological responses and adjust care plans to promote safe improvement Lead and supervise structured pulmonary rehabilitation exercise sessions, including warm-ups and cool-downs Provide patient and family education on breathing techniques, pulmonary disease management, activity guidelines, and risk factor modification Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care Support Cardiac Rehabilitation sessions when cross trained Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policy Ensure emergency preparedness within the rehabilitation setting Participate in departmental initiatives and quality improvement efforts Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and care team members About Us Endeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
