About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist PRN position at Amberwell Hiawatha involves assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. The therapist will collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Additionally, the role includes measuring lung capacity to assess for impaired function and performing all respiratory therapy procedures and cardiac diagnostic procedures throughout the hospital.

Requirements

• 2 year/Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensed by the State of Kansas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• No prior experience required.
