We invite you to join our team as a Respiratory Therapist - PRN, where your expertise can truly make a difference in the lives of our patients!
In this vital role, you will showcase your competency in a variety of procedures tailored for all ages—from infants to geriatrics. Your ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients will help explain treatment purposes and processes, while you carry out essential interventions to support their respiratory health.
Perform routine treatments using a range of respiratory equipment, administering prescribed aerosolized medication and ensuring patients receive the oxygen and humidity they need.
Facilitate chest physiotherapy to help mobilize secretions and clear airways.
Document all treatments meticulously and review patient charts to note any necessary changes.
Set up and operate ventilators for patients who need assistance with their breathing.
Monitor patients closely during treatments, communicating any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
Participate in regular rounds and maintain department organization, making sure that safety standards are met throughout.
Contribute to our patient-first culture by adhering to best practices and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Texas.
• Required to maintain current certifications in CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
