About The Position

While still maintaining own patient load, support the transition of new colleagues by serving as a dedicated peer preceptor, helping new hires find their footing and feel welcomed within the team. Ease the adoption of unit technology by providing hands-on help with clinical applications and communication tools, ensuring everyone can navigate our systems with confidence. Share technical expertise as a resource person for specialized equipment like ventilators and high-flow systems, offering a helping hand to peers during complex setups. Guide the onboarding journey by walking alongside new associates during their clinical shadow days to ensure they meet their initial training milestones. Assist with clinical readiness by helping new team members secure the necessary credentials and system access they need to provide safe, compliant patient care.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • 2 years RT experience preferred.
