About The Position
The position involves providing Oxygen Therapy, ensuring safe and effective use of medical gas, obtaining appropriate physician orders, and identifying the use of devices for proper FiO2/liter flow. The role requires checking devices for proper fit and patient comfort, identifying medical gases, and documenting procedures appropriately. Additionally, the position includes competence in Arterial Blood Gas Sampling, where the individual verifies physician orders, explains procedures to patients, and safely obtains specimens while maintaining patient comfort and safety. The role also encompasses pulmonary toilet/oropharyngeal suctioning, code blue response, ventilator care, pulse oximetry, and patient education. The individual must demonstrate the ability to function calmly in emergencies, maintain ventilation and oxygenation, and document respiratory interventions accurately.
