Access Core & Specialized Test Prep provided to all employees What You’ll Do As a Respiratory Therapist at WakeMed, you’ll provide airway management services for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Responsibilities include: Administering respiratory care procedures under physician orders Managing oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, intubations/extubations Performing arterial punctures, analysis, phlebotomy Operating mechanical ventilation for all age groups Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to evaluate treatment effectiveness Serving the community since 1961, WakeMed Health & Hospitals is the leading provider of health services in Wake County. Requirements

  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner – Required
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Within 6 months of program completion
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Within 12 months of program completion
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP – Required based on patient population
  • Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy – Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Preferred
