Essential Duties: The TCT Respiratory Therapist Lead is responsible for assisting the TCT Supervisor in maintaining competency, clinical training, program integrity, and compliance along with performing the standard TCT RT related job duties. These include assisting patients with respiratory and respiratory–related equipment and for assessment of patient / client need and the selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of appropriate equipment and / or service provided to meet those needs and maintaining appropriate documentation, remote patient monitoring and related telehealth services

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Care Program
  • Must have valid RCP License in the state of practice
  • Experience as Respiratory Therapist
  • Experience conducting patient care via technology driven platforms
  • Proficient with basic computer skills including: Zoom, Excel, Google platforms etc.
  • Thorough knowledge and skill related to Respiratory Care Field
  • Excellent Customer Relation & Communication Skills
  • People-Sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people to result in constructive working relationship
  • Detail Oriented
  • Lifting and loading of equipment into and out of delivery vehicles and patient homes.
  • Minimum physical requirements are the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assists TCT Supervisor with performing RT competency checks and program audits
  • Performs weekly “check and balance” reviews as assigned by RT Manager. Provides coaching to peers based on reviews and reports this to TCT Supervisor.
  • Conducts Clinical Training as assigned by TCT Supervisor. Training’s to include both peer an outside sources
  • Assists with additional projects as assigned by TCT Supervisor or Clinical Operations Manager (i.e. Process/Documentation Improvement)
  • Receives and documents the order for respiratory equipment and/or services from the customer service, patient, caregiver, physician and family member
  • Collects additional information and/or authorization if referral is from other than the physician
  • Assesses the need of the patient and the best choice of respiratory equipment/services to meet those needs
  • Involves the patient and or family, caregiver in the process
  • Instructs patients on the proper use and care of respiratory equipment according to the written policies and procedures for that equipment
  • Communicates with the patient’s physician on changes in patient’s condition and/or needs and
  • Carries out adjustment to the patients Plan of Care / Treatment.
  • Completes patient accounts paperwork including Plan of Care / Treatment and assessments.
  • Conducts remote patient visits using assigned Telehealth platforms and video interface
  • Acts as liaison between the company and the patient, family, caregiver & physician.
  • Assumes full responsibility for their own actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in JCAHO.
  • Follows up visits for respiratory patients and assists in continuity of care as needed and determines by Policy and Procedure.
  • Provides 24-hour on call service, seven days a week as scheduled.
  • Sets up respiratory and respiratory related equipment for patients
  • Provides in services for marketing department and all other department as necessary.
  • Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with patients/clients.
  • Supports the company by being loyal and informing the office of concerns and problems to be resolved.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required by Department Leadership.
  • To remain knowledgeable to date on all products, guidelines and insurance coverage trends
  • Maintain a professional safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and adheres to all of SuperCare Health company policies.
