The newly added 22,000-square-foot facility in Niles, Michigan will have 43 exam rooms and will house both Southwestern Medical Primary Care, Niles and Spectrum Health Lakeland Ear, Nose, and Throat providers. The $7.8 million project is expected to be completed and open to patients March 2023. This facility is a continued investment in our Niles community and the health of those we serve. It houses a range of coordinated health services from diagnostics to primary and specialty care, all in one place, allowing us to deliver care to a patient’s whole family, right in their community. Lakeland Care Network is a partnership between your physician and Corewell Health Lakeland. We are the largest Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in southwestern Michigan. Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Hyperbaric Technologist, Certified (CHT) - NBDHMT National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology Hyperbaric Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Sedation - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center Bronchoscopy and Endoscopy 180 Days required.
• CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Regional Hospitals and NICU 90 Days required.
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab 90 Days required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required.
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine or equivalent clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Applies scientific knowledge / therapy to practical clinical problems of respiratory care.
• Performs a wide range of procedures related to the care of patients with general and specialized respiratory-related needs of various age groups.
• Performs evaluation to determine respiratory care needs, and makes appropriate recommendations and changes in accordance with policy and protocol guidelines.
• Assesses effectiveness of treatment and accurately documents according to department and legal/regulatory standards.
• Performs point of care testing as required.
• Performs advanced evaluation, management and therapeutic procedures (interventions) for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
• Assesses effectiveness of intervention and accurately documents according to department and legal/regulatory standards.
• Completes and documents required education and competencies within designated timeframe.
• Maintains competency in areas of accountability.
• Accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and billing.
• Facilitates a smooth transition for the patient to appropriate referral services / the next point of service / home and provides education to patients and families as it relates to respiratory issues.
• Instructs and trains other respiratory care staff, nursing and other medical personnel and students regarding patient needs and respiratory care services.
