About The Position

Corewell Health Ludington Hospital has provided comprehensive health care services for Mason and Oceana County residents and the thousands of tourists who visit each year. Ludington Hospital offers a full range of services, including inpatient medical, surgical, step-down, obstetrical and critical care units. Outpatient services include a full-service laboratory; cancer and hematology services; a full compliment of medical imaging diagnostic services, included advanced CT and MRI; a tasteful and private Women's Imaging Center complete with 3D mammography, bone density testing, and pelvic and breast ultrasound; comprehensive cardiopulmonary services; rehabilitation services, including cardiac, pulmonary and cancer rehab, in the area's most comprehensive rehab facility; and an array of outpatient surgical procedures. In addition, Ludington Hospital has a 24-hour emergency department with all-private treatment rooms, plus a "FastER track" service for treatment of minor illness and injuries with minimal wait times. Specialties on our medical staff include general and vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, ENT, oncology and hematology, emergency medicine, urology, family medicine, internal medicine, anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, ophthalmology and obstetrics & gynecology. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Ideal candidate will be a Respiratory Therapy Student who has completed at least 1 Year of Respiratory Therapy School.

Responsibilities

  • Performs support tasks for department, as directed, and maintains clear and appropriate documentation.
  • Acts as a team member and assists the team in improving processes.
  • Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
  • May analyze department processes and other Spectrum Health systems encountered and makes recommendations for improvements, as appropriate.
  • Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
