Our In-House Coordinators (IHCs) are the vital connection between hospital staff, families, and the donation process. They ensure every opportunity for organ and tissue donation is handled with compassion, excellence, and respect. Why This Role is Special for Respiratory Therapists As a Respiratory Therapist In-House Coordinator, you’ll use your advanced critical care expertise beyond the traditional bedside role. This unique position blends clinical evaluation, education, and family advocacy, allowing you to directly impact the lives of donors, recipients, and their families. Instead of caring for only one patient at a time, you’ll be part of a mission that saves and enhances countless lives. Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care experience (required)
• Licensed in the state of Oklahoma
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds and connect with nurses and hospital staff on referrals
• Provide in-services and training for new staff
• Partner with physicians to organize annual education events
• Clinically evaluate donor patients and preserve donation options
• Manage all aspects of donation cases during and after recovery
• Facilitate honor walks, memory-making activities, and flag ceremonies
• Present donation options to legal next-of-kin with compassion and clarity
• Provide emotional support to families through the donation journey
• Track and report quality metrics
• Help implement strategies to improve donation practices
