About The Position

Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of acute care and specialty hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program.
• One (1) year in adult respiratory preferred.
• Level 3 NICU experience preferred; RRT, HFJV, Oscillator and Nitric.
• Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license.
• Current State of Nevada Blood Gas Technologist or General Supervisor license (or must apply for blood gas technologist license within the first thirty (30) days from hire date).
• Current BCLS certification.
• The following to be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of hire date if applicable to specific facility departmental policy and procedure: NRP, PALS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU and Labor & Delivery.
• Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.
