About The Position

The position involves demonstrating proficiency in the use and operation of respiratory equipment and providing respiratory treatment to a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The role requires participation in continuing education and delivering care according to professional standards and established procedures, utilizing good judgment and personal initiative.

Requirements

• Graduate from an AMA, CoARC or JRCRTE approved Respiratory Therapy program
• Must possess excellent assessment skills to floor therapy and patients on mechanical ventilators
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Current and valid RCP license from the Respiratory Care Board of California
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• American Heart Association BLS Card
• American Heart Association ACLS Card
• American Heart Association PALS Card
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire
• Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment)

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
• Two (2) years experience in an acute care facility
