Requirements
- High school plus trade or vocational school in Respiratory Care.
- Requires New Mexico Respiratory Care training permit and BLS certification.
- Less than one year experience in Respiratory Care.
- Must be CRTT eligible or currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program
Responsibilities
- All Pulmonary Technician I responsibilities.
- Maintains and ensures oxygen administration to patients and implements oxygen therapy protocol.
- Administers routine respiratory care responsibilities, to include nebulization, Chest PT, IPPB, etc.
- Performs diagnostic procedures to include EKG, bedside spirometry, nocturnal oximetry and ABGs.
- Assists in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
