Performs all aspects of respiratory care for patients of all ages in critical care, emergency room, med/surg, and nursery. Member of high functioning team performing intubations and education. Position maintains strong autonomy with use of protocols and a valued member of the interdisciplinary health care team.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an AMA approved 2 or 4 year Respiratory Care program or equivalent, and registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed by the State of Florida as a Respiratory Therapist in good standing.
  • May also be a Certified Respiratory Therapist, credentialed by the NBRC and licensed by the State of Florida.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required.
  • Must obtain PALS and NRP certification within 90 days of date of hire.
  • Must complete annual departmental competency training.
  • Valid Florida RRT or CRT license.

  • Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting with nursery experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a resource for staff and students.
  • Provides respiratory care in accordance with LWRMC policies and procedures.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
  • Other duties as assigned.
