About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist will: Use Respiratory Assessment throughout all areas of the hospital when caring for patients. Follow the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines. Promote compassionate, efficient, cost effective quality patient care, while demonstrating qualities consistent for the role. Incorporate teaching principles into all practices. Show use of written and verbal communication skills in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Vermont Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Registration or Certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• One (1) year clinical experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate (preferred)
• Two (2) years' clinical experience, including emergency care (preferred)
• Experience with outpatient testing, i.e., PFT, stress testing, cardiac monitors (preferred)
