About The Position

Meadowview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our team on a PRN basis. We are a 100-bed, acute care facility that has been recognized as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the country five times in the past decade. The position involves examining patients with breathing-related conditions, conducting diagnostic testing, consulting with physicians to develop treatment plans, performing physiotherapy, and teaching patients to use medications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GE or Associate Degree in Science required.
• Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
• Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients with breathing-related conditions.
• Conduct diagnostic testing.
• Consult with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform physiotherapy and other treatments.
• Teach patients to use medications.
