About The Position

The RRT is to provide respiratory care for all patients in all areas of NMC. Responsible for airway management procedures (including but not limited to oxygen therapy, ventilator set up and maintenance, emergency procedures, respiratory therapy treatment modalities), arterial punctures, and EKG procedures to patients in assigned areas. Responsible for complete documentation according to the hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Reports change in status of patient and/or patient diagnostic procedure results to physician and/or appropriate hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for all patients in all areas of NMC.
• Perform airway management procedures including oxygen therapy and ventilator setup.
• Conduct emergency procedures and respiratory therapy treatment modalities.
• Carry out arterial punctures and EKG procedures.
• Document all procedures according to hospital and departmental policies.
• Report changes in patient status and diagnostic procedure results to physicians and appropriate personnel.
