About The Position

Positions are available at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, and Hackettstown Medical Center. The role involves cleaning and maintaining respiratory equipment, setting up respiratory equipment, and performing pre-use checks. Responsibilities also include maintaining par levels of respiratory supplies, replenishing air and oxygen tanks, and conducting equipment maintenance calibrations. The position requires updating equipment logs and delivering equipment and supplies to Respiratory Therapists as needed. Additionally, the role involves picking up discontinued equipment for cleaning and carrying out delegated patient care activities while communicating with other members of the healthcare team. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy Program
• High School diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Clean respiratory equipment
• Setup respiratory equipment
• Perform pre-use checks on respiratory equipment
• Maintain par levels of respiratory supplies
• Replenish air and oxygen tanks where respiratory is responsible
• Conduct equipment maintenance calibrations
• Update equipment log
• Deliver equipment and supplies to Respiratory Therapists when needed
• Pick up discontinued equipment and bring to soiled utility for cleaning
• Carry out delegated patient care activities appropriate for a facilitator
• Communicate with other members of the healthcare team
• Perform other duties as assigned
