The position requires experience in the professional discipline to appropriately apply knowledge and broaden expertise while acquiring higher-level skills. The individual will understand key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish their work. There are no supervisory responsibilities, but the individual may provide informal guidance to new team members. The role involves solving problems in straightforward situations and analyzing possible solutions using professional and technical experience, judgment, and precedents. The individual will impact the quality of their work and that of others on the team while working within guidelines and policies. A moderate level of guidance and direction will be received, and the individual will need to explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • BLS certification required.
  • NRP (Plano and NICU core) certification required within 180 days.
  • PALS certification required (excluding DPMSC Pulmonary Dept.) within 180 days.
  • RRT recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Texas license required.
  • RRT-NPS recognized by the NBRC preferred for CT OR with 1.5 years required.
  • Initial Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviors (PPMAB) training must be completed within 90 days of hire and renewed annually (Plano and OCH locations only).
  • BLS instructor for patient educators providing caregiver CPR preferred.
  • BLS, NRP, PALS instructor optional for all others.
  • NRP optional for all others.
