We are searching for a Senior Resp Care Technician MTL — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform the equipment cleaning process and support equipment needs in the Intensive Care and Acute Care areas. Think you’ve got what it takes? Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent Required

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and prepare for operation various respiratory care equipment including pressure limited, volume ventilators and transport isolettes daily
  • Inspect and test equipment for proper assembly with each piece of equipment processed
  • Clean the dryer on a weekly basis
  • Report broken equipment to Bio-Med within 24 hours of identifying broken equipment
  • Disinfect equipment and documents procedures by following established policy and procedures daily
  • Clean and change the water in the Steriverse on a weekly basis
  • Check the inventory levels of equipment stored in the patient areas and maintains appropriate stock levels daily
  • Maintain par levels of portable O2 and air cylinders throughout the hospital twice a day
  • Inventories gas cylinders daily
  • Orders cylinders as needed
  • Make rounds in all areas retrieving dirty equipment
  • Work with departmental staff and other health care professionals to promote teamwork through volunteering regularly to help others when time allows
  • Keep supervisor informed of incidents, injuries, anticipated problems, and unusual situations
