About The Position

Respiratory Care Practitioner at Providence Portland Medical Center - 0.9 FTE Full-Time, Night Schedule $8,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible rehires and external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions of payment. MAJOR CHALLENGES: - Must be able to readily adapt to a variety of responsibilities. Patient Population Served: Neonates, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Consequently, the employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior, and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Upon hire: Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics

Responsibilities

  • Perform Respiratory Care Services in accordance with departmental standards, policies and protocols.
  • Must be able to readily adapt to a variety of responsibilities.
  • Competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior, and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process.
  • The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient.
