About the position
We’re hunting for a Respiratory Care Practitioner, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will administer a variety of respiratory care procedures in a developmentally age-appropriate manner for patients ranging from neonates to adults.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient care and related activities according to policy and/or guidelines. In compliance with MD order to provide optimal patient outcome.
- Perform patient care assessments.
- Performs medication delivery.
- Performs airway clearance techniques.
- Provides ventilatory support.
- Documents patient related activities according to policy/guidelines in a legible manner.
- Facilitates good communication with Physician, Nursing, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate optimal patient care.
- Provides instruction to patients and families.
- Performs other essential functions.
Requirements
- Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Required current enrollment in an accredited respiratory care program OR have a temporary license to practice respiratory care.
- Required BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association.
