Actual duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the patient unit assigned; provide excellent health care to all clients in Lakeland throughout their developmental life cycle. Deliver respiratory procedures as prescribed by physicians, under the direct supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Document according to policy, all pertinent information on respiratory care rendered. Ensure patent airway and adequate ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Set up, operate, and monitor respiratory monitoring equipment under direct supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Process respiratory equipment for sterilization and provides necessary preventive maintenance. Contribute to the effective communication needs of the patient care team. Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Maintain commitment to professional growth and competency. Adhere to the organization’s published values. Contribute to the productivity of the department and proper coverage as assigned by management, i.e. facility assignment, unit assignment, schedule call, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy.
  • May be a recent graduate having earned an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Respiratory Therapy student who has completed at least 1 year in an accredited respiratory therapy program.

Nice To Haves

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
  • Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
