About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist RT I functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT I is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT I will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. The RT I is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Applied Science or Equivalent
  • Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
  • Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
  • BLS
  • ACLS within 90 days of new hire or based upon course availability
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability for the following departments only: Facility AU Dept Title 175 78150 RESPIRATORY CARE
  • Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
  • BLS
  • ACLS within 90 days of new hire or based upon course availability
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability for the following departments only: Facility AU Dept Title 175 78150 RESPIRATORY CARE
