Job SummaryThe Resource Teacher at St. Catherine Labouré Catholic School provides targeted academic support to students with diverse learning needs in a faith‑centered educational environment. This role works collaboratively with classroom teachers, administration, and support staff to implement instructional strategies and interventions that promote student success while supporting the mission and values of the Catholic school community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (required).
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to implement targeted instructional strategies and interventions.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of St. Catherine Labouré Catholic School.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching certification or eligibility (preferred).
  • Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide small‑group and individual academic support to students requiring additional instructional assistance.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and classroom accommodations.
  • Implement intervention strategies aligned with student learning needs and educational plans.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of instructional support and outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of learning plans, accommodations, and strategies as directed.
  • Support students’ academic, social, and organizational skills in a structured and encouraging manner.
  • Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians regarding student progress as appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings related to student support, intervention planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all school, diocesan, and legal guidelines regarding student information.
  • Support the Catholic mission and values of St. Catherine Labouré Catholic School through respectful conduct and positive role modeling.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
