About The Position
The Student Success System Resource Teacher will play a pivotal role in supporting the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the school's Student Success System (SSS). This system is designed to ensure early identification, outreach to families, and intervention for students who meet one or more risk/need thresholds related to academics, behavior, and attendance. The Resource Teacher will work closely with the school principal and leadership team to align the SSS with the school's overall improvement plans, which include strategies for family and community engagement as well as enhancing school climate. The incumbent will oversee the establishment and continuous improvement of the SSS, facilitating and coaching the school's SSS team. This includes setting expectations for staff, conducting training, and ensuring accountability for interventions that are documented and monitored. The Resource Teacher will also facilitate data access and utilization, ensuring that staff are equipped to identify and respond to students in need of additional support. This role requires a strong focus on staff development, providing training and tools to help staff use actionable data effectively, foster a student-centered mindset, and build supportive relationships with families and the community. In addition, the Resource Teacher will monitor various data points to ensure early identification of students needing support, coordinate family engagement strategies, and uphold the ethical standards of the education profession. The position demands maintaining accurate records and reports, supervising district inventory, and participating in professional development activities. The Resource Teacher will also be responsible for performing other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the school's mission and values.
