Salary: $55,000 - $66,000 per year (depending on experience) The Resource Development Coordinator is responsible for researching, developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government entities to secure funding for organizational programs and initiatives. This position also supports fundraising activities, donor stewardship, and community engagement efforts to advance the mission and strategic goals of the organization. The role requires strong writing, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate the organization’s mission and impact to diverse stakeholders. This position performs duties with minimal supervision and requires a high level of initiative and independent judgment in researching, writing, and managing grants. Decisions are made within established organizational policies but require the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs. Errors in judgment or missed deadlines may impact funding opportunities and donor relationships, making accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism essential.

Requirements

  • Strong grant writing and persuasive communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities to identify funding opportunities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, donor database systems, and online grant portals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong ethical standards, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Public speaking skills for donor presentations or community engagement activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional grant writing and/or fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated success in securing grants and managing donor relationships.
  • Capability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, and make repetitive arm/hand motions.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 20 pounds, lift up to 200 pounds with assistance, and carry up to 40 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
  • This role operates independently with minimal supervision, adhering to established procedures.
  • This position will require occasional evening or weekend hours for board meetings or events.
