About The Position

The Resource Coordinator is responsible for managing and expanding out-of-school time programming for Community School's Initiative, a nationally recognized and federally funded program in Chicago. This role involves organizing schedules, securing vendors and community partners, collaborating with school-day teachers, onboarding and training staff, recruiting students, completing data entry, and supporting programming instruction.

Requirements

  • Strong time management, administrative, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Superior communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Strong budget management knowledge
  • Strong presentation and group facilitation skills (demonstrated experience preferred)
  • Quick learner and problem solver, experience in managing conflicts
  • Self-directed while balancing multiple tasks within a team-based work environment
  • Ability to be flexible and manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work
  • Commitment to interrupting all forms of oppression in the workplace
  • Commitment to supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for youth
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse group of people, particularly those living in underserved neighborhoods

Responsibilities

  • Organizing schedule for out-of-school time programming
  • Securing vendors and community partners for implementation
  • Collaborating with school-day teachers to run math and literacy programs
  • Onboarding and training of out-of-school time staff
  • Recruitment of K-8 grade students
  • Completion of data entry for attendance and timesheets
  • Supporting programming instruction
