About The Position
The Resource Consultant Supervisor at Palco plays a pivotal role in leading a team dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and the elderly to live independently through the Personal Options services provided under the West Virginia waiver programs. This position is not just about supervision; it involves mentoring, guiding, and supporting Resource Consultants who work directly with clients to ensure they receive the necessary personal care and community-based services in their own homes. The supervisor will be responsible for managing a remote team, ensuring that all program and contract deliverables are met while maintaining a high standard of quality assurance through regular documentation reviews, participant engagement calls, and in-home visits when necessary. In this role, the supervisor will recruit, hire, train, and mentor new Resource Consultants, ensuring they are well-equipped to assist clients effectively. The supervisor will also maintain open lines of communication with field staff, clients, and other Palco staff throughout the workday. A strong understanding of the Personal Options services program and applicable West Virginia waiver programs is essential, as is the ability to facilitate training sessions via teleconference, video conference, and in-person as needed. Regular meetings with Palco staff and state program staff will be part of the responsibilities, along with reviewing and submitting reports as requested. The supervisor will also handle member complaints and grievances, acting as a mandatory reporter for any incidents of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Performance evaluations for staff will be conducted annually, and adherence to operational procedures defined by Palco is expected. The role requires a person-centered approach in all interactions with participants, ensuring that their needs and preferences are prioritized. Overall, this position is crucial for maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the Personal Options services, ultimately impacting the lives of many individuals positively.
