The Resource Analyst position is a full-time role focused on administrative functions within various program areas. The incumbent will manage multiple work priorities and be accountable for their own work results. Responsibilities include assisting in the management and evaluation of fiscal resource operations for large units, tracking and monitoring College budgets, preparing financial reports, and providing recommendations to maximize resources. The analyst will also oversee contracts and grants operations, assist with budget forms preparation, and serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, and students regarding employee contracts and faculty salaries.

  • Assist in the management and evaluation of overall fiscal resource operations for large units.
  • Track, monitor, and verify College budgets.
  • Monitor and verify personnel workload and prepare financial reports.
  • Provide recommendations to maximize resources and take corrective action.
  • Interpret and implement policies and procedures regarding fiscal analysis.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytical databases.
  • Analyze financial discrepancies and ensure data reconciliation.
  • Oversee unit's contracts and grants operations.
  • Assist Principal Investigators with budget forms preparation.
  • Prepare recruitment packages and employee transaction forms.
  • Process time and pay records for personnel.
  • Troubleshoot issues associated with the Academic Planning Database.
  • Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in program administration.
  • Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.
  • Highly developed quantitative and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpretive skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn various policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections.
  • Demonstrated interest in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in using CSU Common Financial System applications.
  • Expertise in creating/using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with complex formulas.
  • General knowledge of sponsored programs administration and research compliance.
  • Full-time employment with a salary range of $3,879 - $7,488/month.
  • Probationary appointment with potential for permanent position.
