The Resort Host Manager is responsible for hiring, managing and evaluating Resort Hosts. Handle hiring/separation paperwork, work schedules and daily communication with the Hosts. Attend the Job Fest and implement start of season, on the job training sessions. The Resort Host Manager will hold a.m. meetings to communicate duties and mountain operations information. Oversee the distribution and maintenance of the Resort Host voucher program. The Resort Host Manager will update General Manger and Human Resource Director on Resort Host operations. The Resort Host Manager will work with the Resort Hosts on the host duties. This position will oversee approximately 35 Resort Hosts. To assist guests on and off hill with Loon Mountain information. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees' job is to get and keep guests. Assignments - Off hill Parking lot turnarounds- Energetic greeting to incoming guests, assists with unloading equipment from vehicles, helps carry equipment to lodge and directs guests to the best parking. Bus Greeter -Assists with bus greeting. Lodge Coverage-Walks through lodges greeting and assisting, assists people looking for seats, talks with guests in line for food and greets skiers at main doors. Base Area Coverage- Walks through base areas looking for guests that may need directions or other aid. To include slope side of lodges talking to guests as they come off the hill and assists with placing skis on racks or directing people to ski valet. Greet guests at the train stations. Assignments - On hill Special Events -Assist with events, race crossing guards Top of Chairlifts- Greet guests as they unload lifts, answer questions, pick up fallen skiers, clear crowd from unload area. Family Zones- Greet families at entrance to zones, monitor zone for guest in need of aid, help up fallen skiers and replace equipment, enforce slow skiing. Slow Areas-Politely remind guests of speed control-The main areas that we should try to staff first are the base of Coolidge Street, the west side of Camp 3 and Grand Junction. Guest Assisting- Ski or ride assigned area of Mountain looking for people in need of information or assistance. Ride lift with guests, make conversation. Beginner Areas- Monitor for guests that cannot ski safely down trail. Other Assignments Hospitality Guide - Lead free tours of the resort peak to peak - include all major lifts, popular trails, vistas and venues. Q&A sessions on snowmaking and grooming. Information Desk - Warmly greets guests that may have questions. Location to be determined. The Resort Hosts schedule covers turn-arounds, on-hill sweeps, top of lifts, and events. All Resort Hosts are rotated throughout the day to these assigned areas. Welcome: 8-10:30 a.m. Weekends and Holidays, 9-10:30 a.m. Weekdays and non-holiday - turn arounds, base areas, rentals, children's center, ski school, train, top of base lifts, busses. On Hill: 10:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. - high traffic, top of lifts, signs, maps, assist patrol, assist ski school and assist lift ops. Thank you: 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. - turn arounds, base areas.
