About The Position

As a First Assistant Golf Professional, you will strive to ensure each golfer has a flawless golf experience, from arrival to departure. All guests should be provided a warm welcome upon first contact and our luxury service standards should continue throughout their stay. The First Assistant Golf Professional works alongside all other resort team members to ensure the golf operation runs smooth while consistently seeking to improve the overall guest and member golf experience.

Requirements

• Class A PGA Professional
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years in golf operations.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, trains, directs and supervises staff for the purpose of delivering 5 star customer service as well as a high quality golf experience.
• Oversees the scheduling to ensure proper coverage is maintained based on the volume of play and groups.
• Establishes customer service standards, opening & closing checklists and ensures that the proper LSOP's are followed for each area.
• Oversees the practice facility operation and establishes effective driving range rotation on the grass to maximize the usage.
• Provides direction, standards, rules, regulations and training to the caddies program.
• Manages and maintains Golf Cart Fleet and Cart Barn and oversees the relationship with the golf car maintenance company.
• Displays a professional appearance and attitude, and remains courteous to guests at all times.
• Performs efficiently and effectively the opening and closing golf operation procedures daily.
• Acts as a leader on the golf professional teams and acts as a liaison between the different departments.
• Works with management to identify areas of service opportunities and develop plans to execute.
• Ensures team can provide directions to various facilities.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all others in the retail and golf operations.
• Maintains cleanliness of the outside operation.
• Professionally wears assigned uniform.
• Performs any number of reasonable requests by management to enhance the golf operation and retail experience.
