About The Position

As the Resort Facilities Maintenance Technician 2, your role will involve providing essential support to resort operations through the execution of maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. You will perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes and preventative maintenance as instructed by resort leadership. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues, addressing minor electrical problems, troubleshooting and repairing household appliances, and conducting basic preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment. You will also be responsible for repairing interior and exterior walls, managing pools and spas, and engaging in procurement and inventory procedures. Additionally, you will operate resort operations devices and software, communicate professionally, and work safely while identifying potential safety hazards.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of hands-on trades & maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and expressive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills for fostering positive relationships with guests and peers.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations, thrive under pressure, and deliver results within designated timeframes.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes and preventative maintenance as instructed by resort leadership.
  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, including troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing fixtures and piping.
  • Address minor electrical problems by troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing components such as receptacles and ballasts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of household appliances and fixtures to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Conduct basic preventive maintenance and troubleshoot common issues with HVAC equipment.
  • Repair interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texture application, painting, and caulking.
  • Repair and replace tile, grout, vinyl, and carpeting.
  • Manage pools, spas, and related features, including chemical balancing and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Engage in procurement and inventory procedures to guarantee the availability of necessary materials and tools.
  • Operate resort operations devices and software, including HotSOS and other applicable platforms.
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
  • Work safely using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts, adhering to appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Identify and recognize potential safety or security hazards within the property.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities as delegated by management.
