About The Position

Looking for a dedicated, team-oriented candidate to join our Facilities Technician team in our resort located in Ocean City, MD! This position requires weekend availability and must be available for rotating on-call schedules. The role involves assisting the Maintenance Manager and Facilities Technicians in the planning and execution of projects as well as maintenance and enhancement of property. Responsibilities include responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service orientation and skills.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Technical Trade or Vocational School Degree.
• Supervisor Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Manager and Facilities Technicians in planning and executing projects.
• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment and plumbing.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and technician-related inventory duties.
• Follow safety and accident prevention policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
